MTN South Africa are you part of the corporate rot?

I've been trying to cancel my phone contract with MTN South Africa for close to 6 months. I've emailed retentions close to ten times and the matter either gets kicked down the road or incorrect information is returned i.e. the contract has been cancelled. Utter utter utter incompetence!!!
