🤬MTN SOUTH AFRICA🤬

So a month ago I get a call from "MTN ***** Department" about someone trying to do a sim swop with my number. The dude gives me a whole lot of things that sounds legit regarding my details. He ensures me that nothing will happen, because he will do something on the system.

He then asked me to give the OTP pin so that we can make sure it's on my cell number, so I give it to him. He requested another OTP pin and give it again. The next time when he asked me another OTP then it something was fishy.

I ended the call to only find out the guy took a R15 airtime from me and purchase 100Gb data. I then called MTN to ask what's going on and "the consultant", the most unprofessional service ever does not even have a care in the world. Anyway let's leave it at that cause I just dropped the call.

I eventually go make a case, took the case number and certified ID to MTN Store in Cape Gate and the lady ensured me she opened up a ***** case on my profile. She tells me that it's open and what would happen now that I will be debitted the end of the month but I can reverse the debit and come into the store to open my line if MTN closes it.

Month end comes and I reverse the debit, only to find out they wouldn't open my line, even though I paid my monthly contract fee. The lady at MTN says that the case is still open to investigation but I need to pay the money I reversed.

My question is, how can I pay for a product I never used and is currently under investigation? Will MTN reimburse me for it? She answers "no they won't"

I am dumbfounded at the Service Provider🤬
