MTN social media bundle data disappearing while on Wifi

I recently upgraded two devices with MTN and found that the social media bundle data get's used up while I'm on Wi-fi with both devices. Totally redicilous that you lose mobile data while connected to wi-fi data. Why am I then forced to take such terrible bundles?
