MTN SMS only roaming not activated

I see other MTN users experienced the same problem. When I left South Africa on 10 January 2021, I tried to use the SSD codes to put two of my contract sim cards in SMS only roaming. The USSD codes did not work and their was no time to phone MTN.

Since then i have written various e-mails to MTN customer care. Up to date there is no success or support from MTN to solve this problem. In the latest response I was actually told that: "Please be advised that we do not have a roaming partner in Abu Dabi that is why the roaming has not been working". I have been roaming on Du and Etisalat network in the United Araba Emirates (UAE) for at least 14 years.

It seems the only consistent thing from MTN is a monthly invoice for a service that I did not receive for the last two months.
