MTN Sim swap a nightmare

Wht is MTN making our lives difficult when applying for sim swap. My phone was ****** on Saturday and I bought a new sim card, rica'd it and it was activated. I then went to MTN store in Alberton City for a swim swap. It's today and its still pending. My life depends on that number... I need it back as in yesterday. Please help
