MTN signed me up for a contract disguised as month to month

We signed up for a month-to-month LTE unlimited WiFi deal with MTN, and while we're satisfied with the service and speeds, I recently noticed that I've been listed on my credit report despite not entering into a contract. This is concerning as I prefer to avoid contracts and maintain a clean credit score. I need answers before taking any further action.
