MTN should advise to cancel your insurance

MTN sold me insurance on my mobile phone which I happily paid and never used to claim from. Years later after cancelling my contract, I realize a debit order going off my bank account for insurance on this device. Couldn't MTN also have advised me to cancel my insurance?

Good Day Deon

Thank you for your post.

We value your input and also appreciate the time you took to raise your concerns with us because it is only through constructive feedback that we can identify and improve in areas that need our urgent attention.

Kindly note that certain customers prefer to keep their phone insured even after the contract has expired and since insurance is done separately, therefore it is not automatically cancelled once the contract has come to an end.

We would like to assure you that it is certainly not our intention to dissatisfy you. We look forward to improving on the service delivery to you.

Warm Regards

Good day

Thank you for your response! It is noted. I think the frustration came from a place where I couldn't track down the insurer which was Callsure and/or Fairtrade Solutions. I've managed to cancel the insurance policy.

Thank you,

Kind regards,

Deon
