MTN short changed me
I transferred R200 worth of airytime by mistake on the 1st of April to an MTN customer. Today, the 22nd of April 2020, l got the number of recipient of my airtime from MTN after 22 days when l logged my query. I asked MTN if they were to get my airtime back from the recipient but they said that they can't if it's a contract line. I called the recipient of the airtime and he confessed to receiving the airtime but said that he used it and he cut me off. If MTN have this recipient in their data base why can't they block him or make him return the airtime? What does the law say about this ****************? Some service providers are doing money transfers of huge amounts, even US dollars, they help to get money or airtime transferred by mistake because all Sim cards are registered or ricared. Mtn must take responsibility and help customers get help. This is tantamount to promoting crime. I am angry for losing R200 worth of airtime which l could easily get back if MTN could call the recipient and ask him to transfer back the airtime or risk being prosecuted. They can block his Sim. Please help!
