On the 20 January 2019 i upgraded 2 (out of 5) of my MTN cellphone numbers at MTN Pavilion - the store on the same level as Pick n Pay opposite the Gloria Jean's coffee shop. The MTN Promo at the time was a 20GB Entertainment pass with every upgrade. A week after having the 2 new phones, the Promo Data had not been received. Went into the branch to be advised the data takes 14 days to activate. 14 days later - no data. 15 February 2019 go back to the store (3rd time) to escalate the query of no data received re the promo. Receive the following reference numbers 1- ********** 7526 and 1- ********** 7618. On the 19 February 2019 reference number 1- ********** 7618 is resolved and the promo data is received BUT ONLY ON 1 upgrade! 2nd March 2019 visit MTN Pavilion again (4th time) to query outstanding data on 2nd upgrade/number - to be advised that the query has been closed! The staff are beyond rude! On initially walking into the store, we stood at the counter in front of 3 staff members & not one of them lifted their eyes from their computer screens to acknowledge us. We waited a couple of minutes to be assisted - even though there was no other customers in the store! None of the staff members wore name badges! Priyasha Naidoo at the store sent an email (to who knows where) she wouldn't give the email address - she said it was an "internal email". Priyasha's email requests ticket 1- ********** 2940 be re-logged. I'm not sure if a new ticket number is given on existing queries but this ticket number is NOT the number which is unresolved. The unresolved number is 1- ********** 7526. When asked if she needed the 2 reference numbers given on 15/02/2019 & if she needed the details of the reference number NOT closed - she said no. Whilst being "served" the 3 staff members were whispering and talking amongst themselves. The 1 female staff member even went as far as putting a piece of paper up in front of her mouth to talk behind the paper! Priyasha advised the matter would be resolved in 72 hours - its the 7th March (5 days later) & the promo data has still not been received on 1 of the upgrades! From the onset in January, the customer service from MTN Pavilion was shocking! There was no stock on selected phones. When I settled on a phone which they did have stock of, they didn't have a packet to put the phones in! Here i was walking around the centre with 2 boxes of cellphones in hand!! This problem needs to be resolved as a matter of urgency! I look forward to your reply. If this issue is not resolved within the next 72 hours i will be seeking 3rd party assistance.
