MTN service an abomination of the word service!
MTN new system is worse than their old system which I never thought possible. My account has been paid monthly and is up to date but not according to MTN. I sent through proof of payments for October and December 2020 and was assured by the consultant that payments would be allocated by the finance team and I was no longer in arrears. This was on 18th February. The next day my account was suspended again. I called in was told Im in arrears hence the suspension. This was the 3rd day in a row that it had been suspended. My monthly account is R2396 I have 5 numbers on my contract and have been with MTN for over 25 years. The consultant said the only way to lift the suspension is to put a payment arrangement in place til 17 March by which time the finance team has allocated the 2 payments. On 7th I called in to do an upgrade and was told I cannot until arrears of R4792 are paid up. I repeated my whole story to be told to call customer care to resolve the issue. I did so repeated the story again consultant kept me holding for a while to confirm came back and said I owe nothing but payments still not allocated. Really after 3 weeks its still not allocated. I can understand a new system with teething problems but payments should be the easiest to sort. I am still unable to upgrade due to finance team incompetence. I have seen a screenshot of my account showing that my credit record is bad, when I pay monthly. Really MTN = more time needed to sort yourselves out. I am very angry and disappointed in the level of service and loyalty to a client who has been with you for so long! Obvioulsy you dont need my business! Why change to a new system when its not improving your delivery levels? Or are you using MTN SA profits to pay your huge fine in Nigeria??
