MTN sent my cell phone statement to a third party
My account was migrated to MTNSP from Nashua Mobile after about 15 years with Nashua Mobile. I also upgraded the line, and received 1GB of data as part of the package.

I was debited for the monthly usage, and this appeared to be about double what I expected to pay, and what I was used to paying previously.

But MTN did not send me statements!

Even after registering online, I had no access to statements. Then my journey started. Telephone (XX808 and XX3667) was mostly not answered, or cut off after a while.

No statement meant I could not claim an expense claim and lost R500. After several WEEKS of requesting a statement each month and then waiting for an email, I was informed that my statements were actually sent to someone else, which is why I did not get them!

No reason was given as to why my private account was sent to a third party.

Anyway, when this was resolved, I could get access to the statements online for the first time. The fact that my billing is wrong, has not been sorted. But at least I can now see how much they are charging me each month. I even tweeted that MTN apparently considers HelloPeter as their customer service channel of choice. No response.
