MTN SELLS FAULTY LAPTOPS AS NEW .
Wow, MTN sold my mother a faulty HP laptop. MY mom went to sigh a new contract on the 9th of August 2021 and we left with a brand new HP laptop. Prior to getting home and using the laptop we discover it was very slow to process and gets stuck on all tab for a good 10 minutes frozen. Anyway we took the laptop back within 7 days .They tried to call the laptop assistant who said he could not seems to pick up the SERIAL NUMBER that was on the box of the laptop. So the MTN sales that he will email them. We then decided to leave the laptop at the store since they said they will send it down for assessment. Days went by NO WORD from MTN until we decided to call the "guys who would help with software update" Prior to speaking to the guy he says he hasn't heard a word from MTN and they do not answer their phones. The guy then advised to go and take the laptop from MTN and he cold help us remotely. We then called the guy this past Friday and he did a drive clean and reset the laptop ( remotely) anyway we then set the laptop up as a new device hoping it will be normal peed. Guess what ?? this device doesn't not work. It i slow and this is said to be a laptop worth R12 000.00 and that has to be paid for 36 months. The contact is a few days old , the laptop i dysfunctional yet MTN has no solutions?? This is an ******* act by MTN. We asked a different MTN consultant who told us to take the laptop to HP. We went to HP and we are told we have to pay R350,00 for a sofware check ? is ths pour duty really .
After A while we decided to test the SIM CARD again by dialling and the auto message Said we should go to the nearest store. We then decided to go to the MTN store only to discover that the router was not RICAd . How > God knows .
