MTN Self-Rica - Embarrassing

I ordered a mobile LTE router from MTN. Download the app they said, self-RICA your new sim card and 24 hours later you'll be flying through the interwebs.

It is 3 weeks now, self-RICA'd 3 times, still nothing. Sim card is dead as disco and every time I send a support ticket to customer care, I get the same response. It takes 24 hours to activate...

Now my question is, which 24 hours? Do you have to do it at midnight and burn incense for it to work or is it a 24 hour lottery where you have to choose the exact 24 hours to do the self-RICA process?

MTN, you are a tech company...at least TRY to get it right!
