MTN **** - When your Service Provider is Pro-******** and Anti-Customer Care

Firstly I don't even think I would give 1 star...

I was recently a victim of an MTN **** and when it happened I contacted MTN immediately. The Customer Service Champion failed to log the ***** enquiry correctly , so I wasted 2 days waiting for feedback. I phoned two days later and got another Service Champion who acknowledged this enquiry had not been logged correctly and said he would do it. I phoned back the following week to follow up and the Service Champion then argued with me about being at fault about the exchange of my OTP without taking into consideration what transpired. I was told I had to wait 5 - 7 working days to call back. I waited the rest of the week and heard nothing so I phoned the following Monday and the Service Champion said the enquiry was still open but no supporting documents were attached ???? What documents? She said I have to go get an Affidavit and Certified copy of my ID and email it through. Absolutely no Customer Service or professionalism has been experienced here. I phoned back and asked to speak to a Supervisor and she asked me to sort out the Affidavit and ID and send it to her and then she would submit my enquiry because once again the ***** enquiry had still not been logged correctly - 2 weeks wasted with absolutely no resolve.

I got an SMS today telling me the enquiry was closed. I contacted MTN to find out the outcome and the Service Champion told me I am liable to pay R7200+. Nobody contacted me from the ***** Department to follow up on what transpired, no payment plan has been offered or suggested and in fact I do not believe that I should be paying for R7200 ******* charges to my daughter's cell phone number just because her number is on the same account number with my cell phone number. Yes I am liable to pay for what was charged to my cell number as I did give out my OTP thinking that I was dealing with someone from MTN trying to prevent a Sim Swop from happening on my account. Clearly there is no place in this world for trustworthy people!!!

Also what happened to people dealing with people? I emaield the ***** Department and they rep**** with an email telling me to phone MTN on 083 135 and report ***** to a Service Champion which means I have just gone full circle and had no resolve.
