I just want to express my unhappiness with MTN Insurance. I do not want another person to be a victim of MTN and TT3 Digital ****. I do not think you guys are running an insurance company but a ****. On the 5th of September my phone was damaged, I contacted MTN insurance the following day that my phone has been damaged and you came and collect the phone. You brought the same phone after 7 days. The phone only worked for two hours, and it went off. I contacted you guys again to let you know the phone went blank and it is not switching on, you sent the same people again to collect the phone again. You took my phone again for 7 days, again you brought it back after 7 days. On the same day you brought the phone it worked for an hour and it went blank again. Same story I connected you again to let you know the phone went blank. Same story you sent the same people for the third time to collect the phone. When I called you after 7 days to follow up with you then came back with a new story saying the phone has a scratches it has been dropped, scratches that I’m not even aware of. The people you sent to collect the phone from my house even confirmed that the phone is still new it does not even have any scratch. This Daniel guy who fixes MTN phones and MTN insurance are running a **** trying to find ways of declining claims. Now you are trying to force me to send new claim forms or else you will not fix my phone, threatening to send it back to me unfixed. (I am spending almost R2000 on two MTN contracts including your insurance), I was a fool to believe you would give me better experience after what you did to my wife in 2014. 2014 my wife had the same insurance, we went on a holiday in Durban for 7 days and on our arrival my wife’s phone had liquid damage. When we got back home in Centurion we contacted you guys to let you know that the phone had liquid damaged while were in Durban and you just asked the date, when my wife told you the date you declined the claim on the spot with the reason “you should have logged in a claim within 12 hours” my wife just accepted and bought a new phone. This year I decided to give you guy’s chance and have two contracts with you and took your insurance again. Same experience, “****med again. Guys just be aware of this **** and I do not want another person to be a victim of MTN insurance.
Best regards,
