MTN SAY I OWE THEM MONEY BUT THEY DO NOT WANT TO ASSIST ME TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM

In June 2015 i cancelled a contract that i had with MTN. In May 2016 i receive a letter from SAYA Recoveries insisting that i owe MTN R1850.00 for the contract that was cancelled last year June. Upon receiving this email I called MTN where they told me that the account is no longer under my name and shows on their side as cancelled and that all contracts are paid up to date and that i need to ignore the email that i have received as they have never heard of SAYA Recoveries. In July i receive a call from SAYA Recoveries once again stating that I owe MTN this amount of money and that i should make the payment. My response to them was that i had cancelled this contract in June last year and that all payments had been made. To ensure that I had my story straight i checked on my bank statements and as i thought the payments had been made. SAYA Recoveries called me the following day and once again I told them that payment had been made. They referred me back to MTN and provided me with the number for MTN's legal department. I have to date not been able to get hold of any person. I then proceeded to email the legal department where an response was received that instructed me to call the external legal department (SAYA Recoveries). I responded to this email stating that they are unable to assist me with a the information I require and then asked if MTN legal could please contact me. In the mean time i got hold of someone in the legal department at MTN who then told me that everything had been handed over to SAYA and that they are unable to assist me. This morning i received an email response from MTN legal to say that i should pay the monies owed and then they will assist me with my request. i am absolutely appalled by this. i have been a customer with MTN for well over 15 years. This type of service is shocking and i am disgusted. In my opinion I have paid all monies due on the contract in question. Now MTN are requesting the cancellation document. Why would i keep record of this after a year. In January (6 months later) there were no complaints or calls received from MTN, i deleted all last years admin for the new year. Now one year later they are saying I owe them money. All i want is my statement history as there was a payment made in March 2015 that i am sure they missed and this is where this so called outstanding balance is accumulating from. BUT no one is willing to assist me. Why contact me 11 MONTHS later stating that I owe them money. All i want is my statement history to sort this asccount out. Why would the billing end at the end of June 2015 if I did not cancel that contract???? MTN state that they are unable to assist me because the account was handed over but the account was with them. Why has no person from MTN contacted me in regards to this? Why hand me over without a word. I am furious. As soon as my two year contract has come to an end I will cancel all contracts with MTN. I will never ever support this company again. There is not one person in the legal department that will go the extra mile to assist a customer and all I want to do is prove that I made the payment i question.
