MTN SA not offering a brighter life for our family

I have never posted anything on this site and while I am never short of an opinion I seldom air them on such a public platform, but this situation really irks me and mu only hope is that if I rant and rave and I will get some kind of response ...better still a two-way conversation with the multi-billion rand mobile giant that is MTN South Africa. What a sadness, that their vision and brand promise to make 'our customers lives a whole lot BRIGHTER' is in fact a crock of ****e! This is how the story goes: So my husband gets his new phone upgrade just before the 4 of us trundle off to Thailand...there was no reason to think that the contract, that he has had for ever and ever and ever would miraculously be upgraded to a R20 000 spend limit - I mean why? And does anyone really spend that - wff? But it was, without our approval or any such request. Then because Marc (said husband) is Marc and tech, of any kind, is fami**** to him as the truth is to Trump, he didn't switch his data off! Admittedly a huge oversight on his part - actually a R15 000 - that's fifteen thousand South African ronts - oversight! Odder still is that only the month prior and as always, when his data had been capped at a very bog standard R2000 for the longest time, he was instantly cut off and alerted so that could do his own manual top up. Suddenly there was no alert, no sms, no comms of any kind. They simply deducted that very scary amount. Can we get help, a response, a voice of reason...no...sorry for us and our less than 'BRIGHTER' lives. If only we could believe and trust that folk like MTN really did have their customers lives at heart. Next stop credit ombudsman!
