MTN SA extremely poor service to cancel a contract

I want to rate MTN SA zero. I have a very old MTN contract for a tablet. I started on 18 June 2020 to cancel the contract. I got not answer on *** or083135. Then I mailed to the Cancellation section at ***. Up to today, 25 January 2021, I am still struggling to stop the contract even though I got an email on 29 October 2020 at 9h33 from Nonhlanhla Ndlangamandla stating and I quote: "The conctract cancellation is processed today 29 October 2020. The reference number for the refund process is SR#*** ...." Since then the debit order is still going off at the end of every month. On Friday 22 January 2021 I went to the MTN shop in Paarl Mall. The guy told me the contract has never been cancelled and I need to phone them at 083135 because if you mail them they do not respond or do anything. Lots of people are struggling to cancel their contracts. I send them a message via their FB pages. No reaction. I mailed this morning again with no response. They are useless. Next step is going to the press and Carte Blanche. Maybe they will respond when they get that publicity.
