MTN SA - breach of contract with client
The last 4 months MTN SA is committing breaching of contract with myself. Our contract states that my bank account will be debited on the 15th of each month; MTN does not adhere to this agreement at all. Month 1 (May 2022): debit order attempt on 18th of the month - insufficient funds, resulting in a no-funds fine of R180 I had to pay my bank Month 2 (June 2022): debit order attempt on 13th of the month - insufficient funds, resulting in another no-funds fine of R180 I had to pay my bank Month 3 (July 2022): no debit order, nor any debit order attempt. Month 4 (August 2022): Today is the 17th of August 2022, still no debit order or debit order attempt.
Since May 2022 I have contacted the call center, every single month, except for this month of August 2022, and urged them to rectify the debit order system as they are busy with breaching of contract, which is a serious offense punishable by law. They keep on making idiotic excuses, like the "debit order system does not operate on holidays and or weekends", and promising me it will be sorted out - yet, I am still struggling to this day to have it rectified. I work in IT environment and know that this "debit order system" cannot think/decide for itself about public holidays and or weekends, there is no system available on earth that can actually think for itself without the input of a programmer, it has to be programmed by a person to do whatever is needed.
This is PATHETIC service to customers and PATHETIC adherence to the laws of South Africa!!!!!
