MTN'S RIPPING ME OFF & LEAVING ME INDEBTED , BROKE WITH A BAD CREDIT SCORE

Below is my complaint that I have sent to MTN and they responeded on 22 November 2016 01:50 PM

ALUS! Come month end of November I received a bill of R561.40, again, this was not the aount I signed up for.

Further to this, MTN had the audacity to suspend my services until I made payment.

I signed a contract that stated that I will pay R284(VAT incl.) , not what MTN has been charging me. Dr order bouncing nd payment due have affected m credit score rating and I all bame it on MTN! Can MTN please refund me all the onies that are due to me and stop charging me for services I have NEVER signed up for?????

"Good day Thabiso,

Thank you for emailing Customer Care.

We apologize for the break down in service and for any inconvenience we might have caused you. We would like to resolve the problem and provide better service going forward. We have cancelled the self service option.

Please note that when you purchase a once-off bundle, you also receive a give back of the bundle that you purchase. Eg: a 1GB bundle comes with 500MB free that expires after 15 days, the notifications for expired bundles will normally be for the giveback bundle and not for the bundle that you bought.

Kind Regards,
Prudence Ntuli
Customer Services
MTN SA

You can now text your query to us! I am currently on MTN top up 100 and I buy my own data, but I have been repeatedly getting messages that my data is depleted and out of bundle rates will apply, every time I get such messages and check my balance it shows I have sufficient data, in the range of GBs.

And then come month end I am billed ridiculous amounts of money I don't have a cooking clue for what! I mean 2 months ago MTN deducted R2200 for what? Last month R800 odd something, this month R500 odd something!

I laid complaints but still haven't received any solid feedback from MTN. My contract is for R287 yet I am paying close to ten times at times double at times triple the amount? No way! MTN please stop *****ing from us please! I am hereby laying this complaint with frustration and anger because this is not what I signed up for. I tried to reverse these amounts and guess what happened?

MTN had the adesity to suspend my services and demanded that I should pay the amount due. What nonsense is this? Should I not get a valid response from MTN I will continue to follow the right steps to initiate legal action. Please advise if we should remove these bundles as they recurring. We trust that you find the above in order. Regards Gillian MTN Social Media Team”

THABISO: (2016/10/11)

“I have long cancelled such services, I cancelled them the moment I saw something was wrong with my account, your consultant told me she cancelled it please refer to your recorded phone calls from this number: ********** 594. Do your job properly.

I was still charged even after cancelling such services. Please account and action accordingly, do an audit trail on my account and take necessary action.”

THABISO: (2016/10/11)

“Dear MTN, why do you still deduct monies I do not know about?

And why do you still send me such messages even when I am on prepaid data? (Please see attached picture)”

This month you have charged me R550, for what?

I signed up for a contract of a way lesser amount than this, where in the world do you get R550 from?"

Chat Conversation End
