MTN's policies, lies & confusion

<p>I recently purchased a Huawei P8 Lite from MTN. This phone has dual SIM capability. The consultant in the store converted my one SIM to a nano SIM so that this feature could work. She could not get it to work. The response was that the phone actually doesn't have this feature. I then spoke to a colleague who has the same phone and the dual SIM feature works on his phone. I then took his phone to MTN and the consultant said that MTN phones do not have this feature. So it can be the exact same phone but because it is an MTN phone this feature will not work. She confirmed with someone else in their office and said that it is MTN's policy. I then called the MTN customer service and was sent from pillar to post. No one knew about this policy that the store's people referred to. No one at the call centre could help. All they could do was refer me to a different department and on and on that went. One of them did say that I should go to the manufacturer because MTN cannot disable a feature on a phone. They also said I should go back to the store because thay could help me - this was after I explained that they clearly could not and sent me away with their fine print policies that only they know about.</p>
