MTN ****** me of my money

Hi. I had a topup contract with MTN for many years, until recently when my airtime used to just disappear. My contract was due for upgrade last year Feb, but I refused the upgrade. I received and was only billed for the airtime which was R210.00 p/m.

Someone else took an upgrade in my name. I received a message tha my upgrade was successful, but I phone to query it and I was told it was being looked into and I would get a call later. Then I was billed firstly R350 end of Sept, then R811 in Oct and another R811 in Nov. Their shops at malls refused to help and I had to drive several times in Dec to their 14th Ave offices where I was promised everything will be sorted out and I will be refunded.

In all these months mentioned, I received the normal R210 airtime, but MTN only refunded me R600 and the explanation I got was that the airtime I received was deducted from the total amount. How does R350+ (R811x2) -(R210x3) come to R600?

I have since demanded an explanation and cancelled my contract and then ported to another network. I am still awaiting an explanation and the rest of my money.

Almost 2 weeks and they are still investigating. I first queried this in December. Besides, the math is not that difficult. If you decide to deduct R350, then R811 then R811 again for 3 months in a row from your customer's account, then give only R210 worth of airtime per month, how can the difference be R605?

Geez! This is giving me a very good reason to advise everyone I know to leave EMPTY N and find other networks. This is not on.
