MTN roaming

Returned from abroad 5 days ago and MTN is unable to deactivate my roaming, resulting in my number being barred from use on the network. After numerous calls to their call center, emails as well as reporting the issue on Twitter I keep getting the standard "we're escalating the matter" feedback.
