MTN RIPPING CLIENTS OFF
MTN RIPPING CLIENTS OFF My contract was due for an upgrade 3 months ago and i didn't want to upgrade. The call centre agents kept on calling me trying to convince me to upgrade , until i spoke to a gentleman on the 1st of July and he offered me a data bundle contract on which i had to pay R89 for 2G , and i was happy with the offer as i didn't want to spend anything more that R200 , so i took up the contract for 2 phones which was gonna make it a total of R180 every month , he said to me there was no necessary documents to be signed , hell just activate everything over the phone . to my surprise came end of the month my account was debited with R537 , on which i ignored and thought maybe there were some charges from the previous contract , until End of August again , they debited my account with R537 again , then i called the call centre on which they shifted me from one person to another , i think i spoke to about 5 people that day , i asked them to retrieve the recordings as MTN says all conversations are recorded , but they couldn't do that for me .I then went to an MTN branch on which a gentleman assisted me and pulled out all the information where we indeed picked up that i was offerd a data bundle of R89 , however there were some additionals which were never communicated with me ,I need this matter resolved as a matter of urgency as this is a good example of MTN people giving clients false information in order to subscribe with them . I need this to be amended accordingly and my money refunded or else ill be forced to cancel my contract at no penalty cost .
