MTN ******* so glad to stop my contract

Want to cancel my contract since the 24 months are over. Will still be billed for the full month ahead but as soon as the contract is converted to pay-as-you go, all the airtime, sms and data credits will be forfeited. I have to make R400 worth of calls to stop my account or just lose the money which they are still going to deduct. So glad to get rid of MTN will never go back to them ever again! They just lost a client who has been with them for 14 years. My advice to anyone reading this, dont support MTN and dont be the sucker that takes out a contract. Rather pay-as-you-go! Awe but you all want the fancy touch screen phones? Buy one from a cash shop, they are not as expensive as you think and through your contract you pay for that device in any case. Now, MTN if you want to provide me feedback, let me know if I have to use my airtime by 12 March, or what the deadline is for cancellation and migration to pay-as-you-go? I have called 808 and notified you of my intention to cancel. Done 10 March 2015.

Hello xp,

Thank you for your post,

We apologise for the delayed response and for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Please note that when the migration is processed you will be billed for the invoice that closed on 07-03-2015. Please also note that the airtime is forfeited as prepaid and postpaid are two different billing platforms.

Thank you
