MTN reps conned me into paying them for a service they provide for free, and that was not rendered properly.

to this day, after posting the first MTN complaint, i have been called once by mtn. i have triesd numerous ways to have this sim swap done, and i heard a lot of different stories from many different reps. one saying that there is a charge for RICA and SIM SWAPS and that they dont know how they work regarding prices. so meaning your store reps can just makeup prices on the go and provide no slip or receipt?

i have been conned by MTN and now I can't even get my number back. the last excuse i heard was that my number had been recycled as I hadn't used it for a while, on account of going abroad for a few months. she said that I needed to inform them that I'm leaving the country, yet nowhere does MTN say that if you don't use your number in 3 months it will be recycled. like this is ridiculous, every step has a new excuse. at this point, I'm not backing down cause I need this number or at least some explanation as to how it can still be RICA'd under my name, but belong to someone else? If it belongs to someone else, why was I charged for a RICA and Sim Swap that didn't happen? Can I get my money back or some competent assistance?
