MTN REPAIR SERVICE

Hi, I took my phone to MTN in Feb for repair, the camera was not working. I was then told that I might be quoted for my damaged screen and I don't have the money my phone will not be fixed and returned. And that's how it happened the quote was R4500 and I told them I don't have that kind of money , then they said they will return my phone.

A few weeks later , I get a call to come and collect my phone at the store. When we try to switch the phone on at the store it doesn't so we thought it could be flat, tried to charge still nothing. The guy at mtn store also tried the phone is still dead. Then they said they will return the phone to the repair center to check what is the problem.

I then decided to email mtn repair center to make follow up on the progress regarding my phone its almost 3months now. I am told that a clause that says if they open my phone and get quoted and i don't pay the quote or it expires my phone may not return back to me on the same condition it was before.

Now I emailed them again to ask does that mean i am going to pay for a dead phone. I am so frustrated because if they told me that if I cant pay for the quote then there's a possibility of receiving a dead phone back I would not have bothered to send my phone for repairs. I honestly don't know what to do??

I have been with MTN for a very long time infact i have been using mtn since i had my first phone.
