MTN refusing to release sim card

Got a friend of mine to get a MTN fixed LTE package since I'm really happy with mine. After being informed by the clueless MTN shop in Kalahari Mall Upington that our area do not have coverage for fixed LTE, which is not true, they decided to sign a online contract. Everything went well untill DSV couriers showed up with the router and sim, but refused to deliver after a fingerprint scan failed. Now I don't know since when biometric scans became mandatory to receive your parcel but apparently this is now a thing, at least when DSV and MTN is involved. After a week and sitting at DSV branch Upington for hours MTN still refuse to release the sim and router. Numerous calls and showing of proof like id, bank account and proof of residence fell on deaf ears at MTN. This is ****-poor service to say the least, and after recommending MTN to my friends I feel really bad. I will now make it my mission to stop people from going MTN .... they don't give a rats ass about their clients and apparently the same goes for their image.
