MTN refusing to honour warranty

\Good Day,

The below is a response we got from the request REQ:*** that was logged for you regarding the pictures.\"Good day
handset is not BER (Beyond Economical Repair) therefore the client needs to make R150.00 payment for photographic evidence since the handset is repairable.\"
Kind Regards,
Boipelo Phiri
HVRC Contact Centre Agent
After Sales Contact Centres
Toll Free Number: *** (FIX) 349\"

My son's Blackberry phone is still been held by MTN. They will not release it unless I pay them over R300 . The above is a report they sent to me via email concerning sending me photos of the so called cracked LCD. This phone was a gift to my son. I am a pensioner and cannot afford all this money MTN wants. They would not repair it, want over R1000 to fix LCD, R150 for photos showing us the so called problem and if I cant pay that, then over R300 to give it back to us. WHAT IS THIS NONSENSE! We would like the Blackberry back...it belongs to my son and NOT MTN."
