MTN refuses you to cancel a contract

I have tried cancelling a contract ten times today. As soon as I am put through to the cancellations department the call just drops. It is so clearly obvious that MTN is trying to keep me from cancelling one of my three lines.

A month ago, I wanted to cancel and for a million reasons they said I had to wait until after 16th June. Between then and now, I have really tried getting through to anyone competent to assist. As soon as I am given a reference number telephonically, I receive the reference number via SMS too. Then, the call drops and directly thereafter a SMS comes through and notifies me that my ticket has been closed.

SHOCKING. FRUSTRATING.
