MTN refuses to pay out my investment in BBE Share scheme MTN Zakhele

<p>In 2010 I subscribed to the offer MTN made to the public for black individuals to buy share in MTN Zakhele. In November last year, those who had opted not to take up the offer of the Zakhele futhi shares or the MTN ordinary shares were to be paid out the value of their investment by the 23rd of November.</p> <p><br />I had to change the banking details that I had used when I had subscribed for the shares because I had to close that account due to ********** transactions that persistently happened and an investigation by the bank that offered no solution. As a result, I had to change my banking details with MTN Zakhele.</p> <p><br />I did this well in advance to allow them to raise any queries if I have not followed the proper procedure. I called the call center to get advice on how I needed to go about updating my details and I was quoted pages to print and fill out. I did this and submitted.</p> <p><br />I then gave them time to process my request but whenever I checked on their website, the banking details still showed the old ones. After weeks went by and I did not receive my payout, I then checked again and found the same situation.</p> <p><br />I went o social media to vent and for a few days they seemed to want to address the issue but then I guess the spotlight left the issue and they decided my grievances were not important.</p> <p><br />About 3 weeks ago I was contacted by someone suggesting that I call the very call center for which I was in the predicament because of. After a few exchanges, someone contacted me via email and informed me that the forms I submitted were missing a signature page and that is why it was never processed and yet no one bothered to communicate this to me so I could rectify it.</p> <p><br />I then liaised with this person to get it sorted out and yet I have still not gotten my payment.</p> <p><br />Basically what MTN is doing is disadvantaging me because my money is losing value while in their hands and I won't even be able to tell if they pay it with interest whenever they should decide to pay it.</p> <p><br />So, in the end what was supposed to benefit me as a previously disadvantaged individual, who comp**** with all subscription requirements and waited out the period they deemed appropriate before getting my return on investment, is actually robbing me of not only the initial investment I have had to do without for the past 6 years but the growth I have rightly earned by investing and not selling my shares when they opened trading after some predefined period.</p> <p><br />I would like MTN to pay me immediately provide a breakdown of how the amount was arrived at so that I can see if the payment includes interest or not.</p>
