MTN refuses to deactivate **********ly SIM swapped mobile number

A ********** SIM swap was done on my cell phone number. The ********** are using the number to impersonate me and opening ********** account. Though I opened a ***** case at Roodepoort Police Station and the detective went to MTN offices physically, MTN still refuses to deactivate the number. God knows what will happen next should the number be used for serious issues like terrorism. I reported the case at MTN Westgate Mall and submitted an affidavit. Report ref no: ***. Isnt't the same problem MTN got into trouble in Nigeria??? Here in SA the MTN seems to be on a honey moon...thanx to our lax rules....
