MTN punishes pensioners

If you are not on a debit order system with MTN, beware.

Having been a client of theirs for the past 20 plus years and, having retired, opting to work on a monthly EFT basis a few years ago, we are now expected make make payment of the monthly account between the 18th and 20th of the month instead of the month end as is normal in the majority of businesses. Please tell me MTN, who receives their salary or pension in the middle of the month?

The call centre now states that I have to phone in and make a payment arrangement every month to avoid my service being suspended. This is the ********* tactic being used to enable them to obtain access to your bank account via a debit order. Then they can debit your account with whatever they wish. The numerous reviews on here prove the point.

In all my dealings with them over the years there has never been a problem. What's going on MTN?
