MTN publish promotions you can't get!

I decided to upgrade my contract online and on 21/09/2020 10:46 I app**** for the upgrade and received an email containing a reference number and that states if there is any supporting documents required I will be contacted. That was the last and only time I received anything related to the upgrade. Calling the call center they just say they can't check online orders and emailing the customer care also yields no results. Even tried contacting MTN online and that also just seems to go unanswered. As such I decided since it is now October and the new promotions are published I will go the a store. I called the store and asked the gentleman if they have stock of the devices I am looking for and he confirmed they did. I went to the store just to be told that they cannot give me the deal I am looking for as the new promo codes are not available. So what is the use of publishing the October promotions if you cannot get them in the first place? I think it might be time to rather cancel and move on with my life.
