MTN preventing me from Canceling Contract
My Contract has come to an end. I have chosen to Cancel my Contract.

On the 3rd February 2016, I filled in Migration Application from SP fixed to Pre Paid. The Consultant (Agnes Siboxo) told me that there was an outstanding bill of R499.

Issues:
1) She was unable to explain why there was a bill so REQ: *** was lodged.
2) She advised me to cancel it on the 16th February 2016, so that I could use my paid for services as I would LOSE all my minutes and data.
3) It was explained that the cancellation would be performed within 24 hours and that I would lose service temporarily.
The above was confirmed by the branch manager (Shuray Booley)
On 16 February 2016: as per Kashiefa Beaukes (new consultant).
1) the request was sent to the wrong internal Dept - now closed - no feedback to client.
2) I will now be charged airtime and data @ R499 for next month. I will lose this in next 30 days.
3) I have now been told that as of early December 2015, MTN has changed their policy re: SLA from 2 days to 30 days to cancel a contract. Effectively Im stuck on this contract for another month.

As a result I now owe R1000 for advice given by an mtn consultant?

Please rectify the above.
