MTN prepaid
I very very disappointed about the MTN prepaid conduct regarding my airtime and MTN not making my it impossible for to convert my airtime to data
On the 3 May 2023 at 08:42 I recharged my airtime with R99 and there after I convert this airtime to everyday gig to 9 GB which give me 300 mb which expires at 00:00 midnight for 30 days. I have been buying and converting this every month.
Now on the the above mentioned date I recharged with R99 with intention to convert as I tried to the I kept on getting a error message reading I have insufficient balance I tried this 3 times i then decided to call customer care to explain.
I spoke to mtn's consultant Precious who informed me that the reason it is unable to convert is because I have R98 balance I then tried again to check my balance it read I have R99 non expiry airtime but on the consultants side it reflected R98. I the decided to recharge again with R5 hoping it will add on the R 98 so I can buy the data, I checked my balance it showed me 2 amounts expiry airtime and the non expiry airtime. I tried loading the system gave a message of insufficient funds.
Running out of patience and angry and unable to find a solution to my frustration I contacted mtn again I spoke to another consultant I explained my situation she held me up trying to find out my problem. She told me something I could not understand that non expiry starts from R 25 and expiry airtime starts from R5 to R25 meaning I have to recharge again with more R25 to get my data I want this is completely *******.
I very very unsettled with MTN since when does one have to recharge with so much to get what they advertised MTN is not living up to it's tarrif and standard and why did I not get notice about this? That converting airtime to data will cost me R124,00 instead.
I demand my data from MTN that I usually at the same amount
