I went to MTN Northgate n thursday roubd about midday to port my number fron Telkon mobile to MTN,i spent about 3omins in there being assisted by a consultant that informed me that my number will be active on MTN network after 24hours.After more than the 24hrs my number is still not active and i have called MTN more than twice and they keep on telling me that the line is inactive and the consultants keep on tellibg me different things to do that are still not helping to resolve the issue at hand ,can someone serious about their job please assist me as this back and forth with MTN consultants is not getting anywhere but angry with MTN service

Kindly follow the below instruction to join MTN family.

Buy an MTN SIM pack from your nearest MTN store or retail outlet
RICA your SIM card in store (you’ll need your ID and proof of residence)
Don’t insert your new SIM card yet
Use your old SIM to SMS ’PORTME#(10-digit MTN SIM number)’ to ***, e.g., ’PORTME#***’
You’ll receive a confirmation SMS on your current SIM that your request is being processed
Insert your new MTN SIM card into your device the following day
Select ’New number’ to activate your new SIM
