Ok so here is my issue...

I went to MTN Menlyn branch to apply for a contract and asked the following question to a sales person

"I currently have a Cellc contract, is it possible to get the MTN contract and then later port to my Cellc number once my contract at Cellc is expired and I converted my Cellc to pay-as-you-go?"

The answer was yes, yes it would be possible to later port the number. However, to my dismay I was recently told that this is not possible.

I entered the MTN contract on the premise that I would be able to port to my Cellc number. Maybe all this was stated in the contract agreement that I signed at MTN, however I placed my trust in the sales person to disclose all information regarding the porting process. It feels to me like a case of "Conflict of Interest" just to get the contract signed and selled.

The fact is that we live in a day and age where all our information is represented by data on a database - anything is possible to correctify!
