MTN Port my number

I have ported my number from my existing service provider to MTN however I now have another number and its not my number. Mtn customer services put me through to port dept to find out about this and it keeps cutting off. I call 8ta customer care in one call they check and tell me that my number is with MTN but no one else in MTN on any customer service can assist me from the 17-21 Sep 2015. Im forced to go straight to another service provider.

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience experienced.

Please note that the only issue with the Sim card is Rica. Please take along your proof of residence together with your Identity document for rica, this can be done at your nearest rica center or at an MTN sore closer to you.
