MTN poor service and not cancelling contracts when instructed to do so.

I had a contract with MTN, that came to an end on the 7th of July 2018. on the 29th of May I sent an email to MTN and told them to cancel my contract as that was my one month notice period before my contract would expire. I received a call from MTN and after they confirmed that I had no interest in extending my contract or upgrading they confirmed the contract would be cancelled at the End of June. The Sim Card has been deactivated as of the end of June as requested but the contract is still active.

At the end of June a payment for this contract still went off of my account and now again at the end of July. I received a call from an MTN consultant on Friday the 10th of August asking if I wanted to upgrade my contract as it would be coming to an end in now in August. I explained the situation to her and was told that they would look into it. I also logged a complaint on MTN's website but have had no feedback regarding this.

MTN have now taken money out of my account twice after I cancelled my contract and I would like this money refunded to me, as well as a final confirmation that the contract is cancelled and I won't be billed again. This is a breach of the Consumer Protection Act and needs to be sorted out now.

@MTN after lodging a complaint against you and getting told that your cancelation department will sort it out, they has done absolutely nothing about this. I just received a notification from my bank that MTN has once again taken the debit order from my account. This is now the third month in a row. I expect this to be resolved by close of business today with a full refund for the 3 payments taken from my account without my permission. Please forward me the contact details for your CEO as well as your legal department.
