MTN Poor service

My wife and I settled the contract in 2021 and now we are receiving emails regarding arrears that we don't know. We went to Maponya Mall in Soweto to ask them how much it would be if we settled the contract, and they said it would be 13k and some rands. but today we owe them. How I don't know
