MTN poor network, service and customer relations

Last year I moved over to MTN thinking that they were a good network after leaving Vodacom due to Vodacom not have coverage in the area I lived in while in Johannesburg. 8 months ago I moved to East London only to find that MTN has no 4G signal here and on top of it, has the worst signal ever here. I contacted their networks department and they installed boosters in my place to better my signal. This helped the situation however during loadshedding, these boosters would not work thus the signal became null and void. After battling for a period of time, the networks department issued a letter to advise retentions to cancel the contract due to the poor radio signal I was receiving. Retentions then explained that they could only cancel my contract once they received the device. This I advised them I cannot do as I would be without a phone for a period of time while they port my number to prepaid. I was then told that I should go out and purchase another device to use in the interim. This further inconveniencing me and showing how they truly value their clients. MTN is a sinking ship with poor network and poor customer service and I advise all to stay away from this circus of a network
