MTN Poor Customer Service
Having been a loyal customer for over 10years; I am yet again facing poor customer service. My over 2 years data only line is been barred. The contract is a fixed rate contract R299 (or so) per month. This have worked for over two years and I renewed it again last year. The number is been barred because according to MTN, the usage was exceed and now have a bill of over R7,000!!! So I asked how that happened since the contract is been fixed and automatically blocks once the limit on the contracted is reached. The claim by MTN is that someone extended the limit from that on the contract. I haven't called nor requested any extension on the limit. So who did that? I have been waiting for MTN for over 3weeks now to resolve and restore my line. So in this lockdown, I am still waiting for MTN!!!
This has been escalated to the Customer Care Manager Faiza Kader but she is yet to resolve the issue, after 3WEEKS!!!

Thanks for the response.
This is a fixed contract the require authorization from the account holder.
It is impossible to change the limit from a cell device when my contract signed with MTN clearly indicates a R0.00 exceed limit.
Any change from the device will require details to be obtained by MTN to effect the change.
This is not a device level controlled account.
I did not change the limit and there is no audit trail on the device to indicate that someone else did.
Also not that I have two other contract numbers (total of 3 contract numbers) and none of them have any clause on the contract to say that "the account holder can change limit via SSID without authorisation".
Please advise further steps I have to take from here.
Thanks.
Sonny
