MTN please clear my name

So I took a cellphone contract with MTN back in 2018, they were deducting the agreed amount, until they stopped. According to me, my contract was closed and settled. Fast forward, I am now in areas and my credit score is affected negatively. So end of July 2021 I decided to settle the account, I have proof. Now they are refusing to close my account. When I check on Clearscore.com I appear as though I’m still owing them. All I’m asking is for MTN to kindly close my account and clear my name from the credit bureau. I’ve written to them requesting for my name to be cleared, but nothing has happened
