MTN-penalising me for being victim of *****

I have recently been a victim of identity theft and someone has **********ly tried to take out a MTN contract using my details. This was declined due to suspected *****. This happened on 27 October. Since then my cell phone died & I have been trying to take out a new contract with MTN, I am an existing client holding only a data contract that was renewed in December last year. My issue with MTN is that they now keep on declining my application because of the ***** attempt using my details. I have supp**** them with a certified copy of my ID, a letter from MTN ***** department and a letter from South African ***** Prevention Services( SAFPS). I have emailed customercare@MTN and they requested more documents which I emailed to them. My main grief is that I am being left in the dark. I have no idea if the contract will be approved. Since 15 January I have received at least 3 sms that my application has been submitted to vetting. All these enquiries show up on my transunion credit report. I just want to know whats going on.Should I expect the application to be approved or is there no way in hell this will be approved. Why are there no processes to deal with this established at MTN?
