MTN - Pathetic Service

So, 14 November 18 I go to MTN Sasolburg and upgrade my 3G Data contract, no problem. Come end of November I find that only the anytime data allocation has been upgraded and not the night time data. I call the Sasolburg branch and the gentlemen who answers tells me he will log a call for this to be rectified and I will get a SMS with a reference number shortly. This doesn't happen so I call the MTN Vereeniging branch and the lady that assisted logged the call and within minutes I received my reference number (good show for them). This was on 12 December and today is 19 December and still no resolution to my request. I then log an online enquiry via their website asking re the progress on the call. The response I got from their Customer Service was for me to first provide My ID, Street Address, PIN and Bank. So I provide all except the PIN number as I consider it not be something that I am supposed to disclose to anybody (I think that is why it is called a PIN). So my call to Customer Service is not responded to. I call the Vereeniging branch asking if they can follow up on the call number for me - no they cant ,I must work through Customer Service. I try to phone their Customer Service, (using my Vodacom mobile). You get an automated request asking you to enter your mobile number. This is not recognised, understandably, because it is a Vodacom number. So I enter my MTN data only SIM's phone number and this is also not recognised, (possibly because it has no voice capabilities) meaning I cant progress to be able to talk to somebody at Customer Service. So I then log an online enquiry asking how am I now to contact Customer Service and once again receive an email requesting my ID, Street Address, PIN and Bank. I cannot comprehend why this info is a necessity for an enquiry of that nature, I simply want an alternative method to make contact with their Customer Service department. Needless to say I ignored the request as it will most likely follow the same route as the first = ignored. It now seems I will have to join the droves who have been leaving MTN over the past 12 months. PS: I cant believe that I actually had to pay a once-off admin fee, and this for them to ***** up my contract whilst upgrading.

I see the situation was rectified shortly after publishing this complaint. Thanks MTN and Hellopeter.com.
