MTN- Pathetic And Non Customer Service

Good Day:

On the 20 Jan 2017, i had taken my Sony Xperia to MTN for repairs under its valid warranty as the speaker phone had not been working. i was informed by the instore consultant that it would take a month as the phone goes to Johannesburg has there is no repair center in KZN.

My device was inspected by the consultant thourougly and it was noted on the job card that my phone had minor scratches on it. To my suprise last week i receive an SMS stating my phone has been assessed and that i need to pay MTN R1700 to fix it..... i had went into the store over the weekend to enquire why i needed to pay if my fne is still under warranty??

i received a call today from the consultant saying that the fee charged is for my charger pin port not working???? Apparently MTN repair technicians stated my phone has been physically abused... i mean really???? i have been an mtn customer for the last 10 years and i am an adult not a kid to abuse or throw my phone around. the consultant even had the dam arrogance to tell me call their repair center and find out what is the real problem with my phone. so i am disgusted in the way i am been treated as a customer as i still have unanswered questions that follows:

1) I still do not know wheather my device has been repaired?

2) Upon sending my device in it was inspected by the instore consultant and the job card states no physical damage and that everything works on the phone except the speaker, so i do not understand how my device has been automatically damaged by the charging port???

3) why am i been charged a repair fee on something that was working 100% prior to sending my device for repairs?

4) where is the customer service??? no ethics or professionalism or respect for the importance of the customer???? consultants do not understand MTN core business values or operations??

i will be taking this matter the legal route as i refuse to be subjected by MTN in treating their customers like trash and falsely accusing customers and charging them repair fees on things that were not even damaged on the phone...

Good Day Mike:
I appreciate your feedback and the process that MTN needs to conduct with their service level agreements, however I am still a dissatisfied customer not sure of the status of my device and when and how MTN is going to resolve my issue as I am without a phone that was used for personal and business use.
This is truely frustrating and unacceptable. I require assistance and feedback from MTN in when my phone will be repaired all in working order and given back to me???
Should I not hear from MTN by Monday next week 20-03-2017, I will be taking this matter the legal route and TO consumer watch to assist and expose the level of treatment I am receiving from MTN.
I think as a customer I was patient enough and accommodating however I now feel I am been abused by MTN
