Mtn pathatic service
Mtn has deactivated and recycled my number without my permission and rude cost service agent cnt do a thing I ended my 1 of 2 contracts with mtn advised that I am moving the number to prepaid and keeping it all was fine until I changed phones and needed a sim swap I did that got the sim card did whatever was needed now I put the sim card on and i cannot use it apparently deactivated and recycled I had that number for years I didn't ask for that at all there was no reason for it to be changed I did the sim swap Benmore gardens in sandton my number that was NOT supposed to be recycled is *** can this be resolved ASAP

Please be advised we pick up that cell number *** was last billed on contract September 2018.
The prepaid terms and conditions: If the cell number is not used for calls in +- 90 days, MTN have the right to pull the number back to the network and number will be allocated to another user. Once the number is allocated to another user we cannot assist you to give the number back.
Clause 2 of the Prepaid Terms and Conditions provides as follows:
MTN reserves the right to cancel your cell phone number on the MTN Network if you do not use your cell phone number for 90 or more consecutive days. This stems from Numbering Plan Regulations, 2016 issued in terms of the Electronic Communications Act 36 of 2005, which provides as follows:· Numbers are a national resource and are not owned by a licensee to whom they are allocated nor by the subscriber to whom they are assigned. · Regulation 6(3)(g) places an obligation on MTN as a Licensee to ensure that the numbers allocated to it are used effectively and efficiently.

I dnt think so I listened to the guy at the store put the SIM card on in a few hours it did work left it tried again didn't work and till now it's not working he confirmed that he has given my number back go and do more research without giving me stories about Mtn rules I am within my rights here check Mtn Benmore gardens sandton
