MTN owes me over R7000 and still keep on deducting money from my bank account
Hallo Peter
Nov 2021 I took out a contract: Home Unc FLTE 10Mbps FUP 500GB 2Mbps. The consultant from Mondo (MTN) told me that I could use this device anywhere in the country. I asked her specifically this question because I travel a lot. Since November 2021 the device was never activated. A lot of e-mails and correspondence with and to MTN, months later I was informed this was not true. The device could only be used at one address. Then from my side I had to contact MTN again to asked to refund me and to listened to the recording of that day. Two weeks later a lady contacts me and informed me that they listened to the recording, and it was in my favour. MTN will refund me and there will be no cancellation fees involved. The instruct me to return the device to the local MTN branch and receive a mail which stated the following. Good day Carin, As per our conversation, Please be advised that your MTN investigation feedback came back in your favour, Please return your parcel to your nearest MTN store and call us on *** with a reference number to assist with cancellation. (Which I did) Please be advised that the cancellation costs will be covered by us. Device: Huawei_4G Router 2 Pro (B612-233) IMEI number:*** Order number: *** Kind regards, The Mondo Team - Noxolo Mngadi I paid R499 for almost 12 months R5 988. But MTN tried from Sept, Oct and now Nov to deduct over R2 215.56 (luckily, I had no funds in that specific bank account) but who is going to pay the bank charges on this. This effect my credit record. On 4 December they deducted R2 215.56 without my permission?????? MTN owes me R7 000+ So why would MTN keep on deducting money if they owe me money? It’s been a year later. No refund, no joy. If have evidence of the above in e-mails and facebook correspondence Can you please help/ Kind regards Carin Myburgh ***
