MTN overcharging and pathetic non existent service

My wife has the same issue with her black friday data deal that has also come to an end this November like others that have complained here as well.

I want to rate them negative stars but 1 star is is the minimum, lucky them.

My wife gave the 1 months written notice and still got charged over R2000 for a contract that is normally around R400 a month with a capped limit of R10.

When you try to phone MTN they cannot help you, and cannot even tell you what your bill is made up of. Customer services refers you to cancellations and cancellations sends you right back to customer services. After almost an hour on the phone you get nowhere and get told to wait for your bill to be finalised just to later confirm the over billing.

With notice given in advance pro rata data has still been charged for the period after cancellation, this makes no sense.

And to make it worse, is that MTN has a direct debit order to deduct these amounts! Where are thw regulators and ombudsman?

This is pathetic and ridiculous from MTN!
